Whizzo Technologies Inc. is based in Vancouver, WA. We started out as a computer repair company, but we quickly realized that many of the solutions the market offered simply were not performing as users needed or expected. Our customers were frequently fed up with security software slowing down their computers and not performing as needed. This typically would result in extra computer help costs for a technician to fully repair the problems. We also discovered that when we fixed computers, there was a logical order to the maintenance process.

Sometimes we used as many as 20 different programs (including privacy software and a spyware cleaner) to fix a computer; this also confused our customers. So we came up with the idea of a package of programs that would run a logically ordered cleaning in one simple step, often eliminating the need to call a technician to fix errors. Originally this program was designed to help our customers easily fix their computers, but the demand for the idea was so popular that we decided it should be shared with everyone that felt that their security software should perform as expected while not confusing the user or interfering with their daily work. Whizzo CleanSuite was born.

The Whizzo software products suite was created by computer professionals, Everett Ulbricht and Joe Fryer. They operated a PC repair consultancy called Datatech for five years. Whizzo Chief Technology Officer Joe Fryer states, “As owners of Datatech, we offered regular PC maintenance plans to help remove viruses, spyware, maintain computers, clean up files, and help fix computers that would not boot or had performance problems. We realized that we were seeing a pattern to why customers needed our services. We were performing the same tasks on a daily basis, so we developed a set of tools to remove viruses, malware and maintain PC health using our same techniques in an easy to use package.”

Whizzo Chief Executive Officer Everett Ulbricht continues, “We found that people wanted to be able to go into a store or online and buy software that would actually fix their PC problems so they didn’t have to bring in an IT / PC support technician. Frequently, users found they purchased software to fix their computer but the software didn't actually fix any problems or they didn’t understand the messages displayed by the tools. We launched Whizzo Technologies and developed the CleanSuite products to automate the tools we used on a daily basis to fix PCs and keep them healthy. Most importantly, we made it easy for anyone to use.”
